THE CIPRIANIS, THE FAMILY CREDITED WITH GIFTING THE WORLD THE BELLINI, CEMENTS ITS STAKE IN THE ULTRA-LUXURY REAL ESTATE SCENE WITH THE DEBUT OF ITS FIRST-EVER GROUND-UP SUPERTOWER AMID BRICKELL’S SPARKLING GLASS-AND STEEL SKYLINE

The legacy was born in Venice in 1931, when a young Italian chef opened Harry’s Bar in a light-washed warehouse along a quiet, dead-end street. Equipped with little more than dreams and drive, Giuseppe Cipriani turned the humble space into one of the most famous watering holes in Europe, attracting legions of artists, writers, aristocrats, and notable thinkers throughout the 20th century, from Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright to Barbara Hutton and Katharine Hepburn. He’s credited with two of the Italian hospitality scene’s shining stars: beef carpaccio, made specially for Countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo, and the quintessential riviera refresher, the Bellini. (Both are still served at Cipriani restaurants all over the world.) Over the next nine decades, the Cipriani brand would grow into a global empire, spanning cocktail bars, upscale restaurants, hotels, residences, kitchen wares, a gourmet food shop, and, most recently, Cipriani’s first ground-up residential supertower in Miami.

Poised to become Brickell’s tallest tower when it tops off in 2028, the 80-story high rise is currently under construction in the Magic City’s skyscraper-studded financial district. Located along the southern end with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and Key Biscayne, Cipriani Residences is mere steps from a dizzying suite of high-end shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Bernardo Fort-Brescia of the award-winning architecture firm Arquitectonica took the reins on design, concocting a sleek, curved all-glass facade that appears as if it’s cascading toward the leafy waterfront. “The idea of an architecture that has connection with the water is something we were seeking to project in the design of the building,” said Fort-Brescia, detailing nods to the Italian Riviera.

Nautical elements flow through the interiors, as well.

Designed and dressed by the prestigious British firm 1508 London, the 397 ultra-luxury homes boast sunlight-flooded living spaces with stellar views of the city and surf through floor-to-ceiling windows. Double glass doors open to private terraces, and towering 10-foot ceilings make even the smallest one-bedroom condos feel palatial. Rich materials and natural stone are prevalent throughout, from premium woods like oak and walnut to leather furniture and Venetian chandeliers imported from Italy.

“In working with this iconic brand, we had the unique task of creating a new lifestyle using decades of exquisite source material, so we were quickly overcome with inspiration,” explained Leo Bertacchini, design director at 1508 London. “We carefully wove together a design that would be both derivative of the brand’s flagship properties and unique to this building. It was important to us that residents feel immersed in the Cipriani lifestyle and also have a sense of place in the heart of Miami’s Financial District.”

All residences boast spacious eat-in kitchens decked out with custom Italian cabinetry and top-of-the-line Wolf Sub-Zero appliances, including a cooktop, integrated refrigerator, freezer, wine cooler, and dishwasher. Primary suites are finished with immaculate spa bathrooms featuring deep soaking tubs, glass-enclosed showers, and sparkling vanities with imported stone tops and modern back-lit mirrors.

Nestled in the top 18 floors lies the Canaletto Collection, an assembly of the property’s most exclusive addresses. Here, buyers are treated to an elevated menu of luxuries, including a private elevator lobby and priority access to the Cipriani speakeasy and dining spaces. Of the 74 Canaletto homes, just six have earned the holy penthouse designation, including a sprawling five-bedroom, six-and a-half-bathroom triplex that hit the market this spring with a $32 million price tag. Stretching 6,000 square feet of interior space with an additional 3,000 al fresco, the dazzling sky-mansion features a magnificent double-height great room, dedicated game room with a built-in wet bar, massive en-suite bedrooms, and an exclusive open-air rooftop terrace with an infinity pool and summer kitchen for sizzling salmon steaks in the Florida sun.

A sweeping collection of first class amenities span fitness, wellness, recreational, and professional offerings, plus a slate of Cipriani signature dining experiences that include chef-curated room service, 24-hour catering service, and the use of reservation-only private dining rooms. Highlights include an elevated resort deck (finished with a pair of swimming pools, stylish cabanas, a sunny terrace, and an outdoor spa), a light-blanketed lounge with dizzying skyline and water views, a holistic wellness spa with a sauna and several treatment rooms, a beauty salon, state-of-the art fitness center, golf simulator, pickleball court, dog park, screening room, library, and children’s play room. Denizens can also take advantage of white-glove concierge services like pet grooming and walking, plant care, in-residence spa treatments, and personal fitness training.

Homes begin at $1,700,000.
