THIS TRIMARAN HULL YACHT, ENVISIONED BY DESIGN GURU CHULHUN PARK, WOULD BE THE WORLD’S LONGEST, AND INARGUABLY IT’S MOST BADASSED

Currently, the largest private yacht in the world is the 590 foot, 13,100 ton Azzam, believed to be owned by Khalifa bin Zayed alNahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and sporting unique features like a bulletproof master suite and a missile defense system. A vessel envisioned by Chulhun Park, chief designer at Latvia’s Latitude Yachts, however, aims to not just far exceed Azzam’s size, but also make its luxurious maritime wonders available to non-billionaires. His Valkyrie project is essentially a movable entertainment mecca in addition to the amenities traditionally associated with a super yacht and incorporates an on board casino, theater, art gallery, and convention hall. 751 feet in length, Valkyrie is an adaptation of Palmer Johnson’s trimaran hull design, one that Park explains lessens drag at high speeds while providing greater stability.

Still in the early draft stages, the vessel conceived by Park as a part of his thesis project at the Royal College of Art in London would accommodate 52 guests in 26 cabins, as well as a crew of 92 (in 46 cabins), but the designer explained that it had the potential to hold significantly more day visitors. Park estimates that build cost would be approximately $800 million.
