For your next home-away-from-home experience, the short-term rental giant dives into fan culture with 11 iconic properties, including Disney movie houses and Ferrari Museum stays. Airbnb promises to turn your wildest fantasy into a reality: sleep next to 110 elite trophies and eight Ferrari racing cars, crash at Xavier’s Mansion from X-Men ‘97 for a mutant-sleepover, or play dress-up in Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse. For those who prefer a day trip over an overnight stay, a two-hour X-Men experience includes super cool experiments and secret-mission briefings. Some listings, like the sleepover Ferrari Museum in Manarello, Italy, will host exclusive one-time events, while Pixar’s floating house from Up and a New York mansion that resembles the icon from Marvel’s X-Men comics will be available for stays lasting three to four months. Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, dubbed the initiative Icons, emphasizing, “In a world that’s increasingly digital, our aim is to inject real-world magic.
