LA LEAKERS, WHO HAVE BEEN TEARING UP VEGAS AND TINSELTOWN CLUBS FOR A DECADE, COME TO ATLANTIC CITY FOR ONE NIGHT OF CRAZINESS
BY EVAN MONROE
MEMBER INGREDIENTS: Justin Credible (left) and Sourmilk.
BACKGROUND: Justin began DJing at 16 at house parties and school functions, and in time “fell in love with hip-hop.” After high school, he began DJing at clubs around the city, and was hired by XHTZ/ Jammin Z90 in San Diego to host its weekend show. One year later, he landed his “dream radio job” at L.A.’s Power 106.
Sourmilk found himself in a similar situation, starting by making mixtapes from tape deck to tape deck in his early teens. His parents bought him a first pair of turntables for his 15th birthday, and from then on, he’s “kept his fingertips to the vinyl,” putting in work that quickly elevated him to mixing on Power 106 and shortly after on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. The LA Leakers duo was launched in 2008
WHY THE NAME? “We leak the newest and the greatest to the masses!”
LATEST NEWS: Around L.A. and Vegas, their name is synonymous with party beats and crowd-thrilling bass lines. Both as individual artists and as a duo, they have residencies at Las Vegas clubs Drai’s, Tao, Hakkasan, and Omnia, and in L.A. at Playhouse and Supperclub.
OTHER NOTABLE GIGS: They’ve performed with Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and have also broken into the festival world, with performances at HARD Summer 2015 and HARD Day of the Dead on Halloween weekend of 2015.
LOCAL SHOW: The boys will spin at HQ Nightclub on Friday, January 31.
