SPOTLIGHT CHANEL
Expectations ran high for Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection, yet the result felt assured and effortless, balancing modernity with the house’s enduring refinement. Neutrals, tweed, mesh, and florals defined Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2026 showcase, coming together in a way that felt celestial, surreal, and cinematic. The theme revolved around freedom, memory, and Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s own masculine-feminine style codes. Familiar signatures were reworked with a lighter touch, softened in proportion and surface so they read not like reference — but an evolution. The collection held onto its craftsmanship while opening it up, creating a sense of ease without losing structure. Many looks played with contrast, from masculine jackets over delicate underpinnings to sharp tailoring against airy transparency, and accessories drew enormous attention.
