IN A DIZZYING DEBUT, BRITISH SUPERCAR MARQUE ASTON MARTIN ANNOUNCED A COMPANY FIRST, OFFERING THRILL HUNGRY RACERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SATIATE THE NEED FOR SPEED FROM THEIR LIVING ROOM

In 2017, Aston Martin rocked the racing world with the announcement of the Valkyrie, a mouth gapingly fast high performance racer slated for a 2020 arrival. With 1,000 horsepower 546 lb. ft. of torque, and a stunning 0-60 time of 2.5 seconds, the shredded racer serves as the British marque’s first true hyper car and yes, there is a street legal variant. But for those of us who can’t afford the cool $3 million price tag, the manufacturer recently announced another way to get behind the wheel of the V12 beast: its first ever racing simulator, the AMR C01.

Designed by Aston Martin and engineered by Curv Racing Simulators, the limited edition at home machine intends to provide a fully immersive driving experience. The monocoque is crafted of all carbon fiber and the front of the bodywork is shaped to invoke the signature Aston Martin Racing grille. And to command even more goose bumps, the seat position is designed to mirror that of the Valkyrie. Hold on to your hats in 3, 2, 1…

“This was a challenge for the design team as, although the simulator isn’t a car, it is inspired by our racing cars,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s chief creative officer. “It needed to exude the same elegance, boasting the same dynamic lines and balance of proportions as any Aston Martin with a racing lineage. I can picture the AMR C01 in the most beautiful of residences as a sculptural work of art in its own right.”
