From oversized necklaces, to the exuberant Chloé collection, this season is about fierce attitude

One Chloe door closes…
Chloé’s last collection with Creative Director Clare Waight Keller at the helm was a stellar array of designs from the now design chief at Givenchy that brand fanatics have learned to love. Her Chloé swan song was an homage to the bohemian aesthetic, albeit with a tailored edge. It was fashion forward as ever, and semi inspired by an Alice in Wonderland esque psychedelic sensibility. Pastels like mint green, yellow, and orange in a ’60s and ’70s spirit danced about, paired with plaid overcoats and Mary Janes. Cheeky? Definitely. Luxe? Certainly.

NOT JUST HANGING AROUND
Statement pendants, chain links, and eclectic materials (we’re talking to you, wood necklaces), are trending from designers this season, but wearing an oversized piece doesn’t have to scream costume. Here, inspired makers take the concept to a luxe level using high flying materials and streamlined design.

A league of its own
Founded in 1874 by Georges Piaget at his family farm in the Swiss village of La Côte aux Fées, this eponymous company set about improving the movements and assembly of then novel pocket watches, and quickly gained a following. Now with a full line of jewelry, Piaget’s creativity and fanatical attention to detail have made it a red carpet mainstay on Jessica Chastain and Mila Kunis, to name but a few A-list fans. The Limelight Gala Watch is a favorite for winter in its white and rose gold dial, accented with diamonds. From $20,700.
