BROWNSTONE LIVING IN RED BANK
Only weeks after celebrating its grand opening, Brownstones at Red Bank, a 22 unit townhome community by Roger Mumford Homes, is nearly at full capacity. Located within walking distance to the train station, Navesink River, and Red Bank’s downtown district, its authentic brown stone style townhomes are still under construction and being pre sold. Priced in the mid $500s, each has its own unique design and décor. Layouts are three bedroom, with three and a half baths (the flex space first floor bedroom can be used as an office, library, or guest room), and units feature two car rear entry garages, brick exteriors with keystones, standing seam metal roof accents, front doors with rectangular transoms, and ornamental black fencing with gates. Designer kitchen cabinetry, built in storage space, and creative use of natural light are additional selling features. Catherine and River Street, Red Bank, 732.693.2945, brownstonesredbank.com

Domo arigato, DOMODOMO!
Self described as “the First Hand Roll Bar in NYC” when it launched in 2015, DOMODOMO has become one of the city’s most exclusive sushi joints its excellence recognized with Michelin Bib Gourmand designation for the past four years. Now, the West Village hotspot is taking its signature tasting menu and other Asian inspired dishes across the Hudson. Located on Greene Street at the base of the Jersey City Urby tower, it will offer the same menu as the Manhattan restaurant a mix of sushi, hand rolls, and hot and cold dishes. Its famous “Domokase” will also be available: an omakase style (a Japanese phrase that translates to “I’ll leave it up to you,” Domakase dining involves ceding typically multi course meal selection to the chef) that gives the kitchen the freedom to choose based on what’s fresh and in season. 200 Greene Street, Jersey City, 201.267.0222, domodomojc.com

NUT FREE OASIS
A new Hoboken coffee house is catering to families that struggle with food allergies. Joey No Nuts Cafe (catchy yes, with just a touch of Jersey) is the brainchild of Jessica and Jeff Witte Dyer, who have a four year old daughter who suffers from both peanut and tree nut allergies. (According to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, there are 1,962,000 people in the U.S. with peanut allergies alone, with the percentage of kids being diagnosed increasing every year).

A&G SPREAD

The new enterprise replaced Maroon Café on the corner of 7th Street and Willow Avenue, and serves all the caffeine and its associated culture one could desire in a totally nut free environment. There’s a variety of blends and plenty of allergy aware snacks to choose from. The shop is also vegetarian and vegan friendly. 638 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, 201.253.0099
